I. Registration process
Any queries regarding registration or payment should be sent to eithealthsummit@eithealth.eu.
Please note that by registering to the EIT Health Summit you are confirming your attendance at this event and on completion of your registration the stated price must be paid in full. Registrations must be charged to Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover. No purchase orders are accepted.
II. Cancellation policy
Each cancellation must be sent to the following e-mail address: eithealthsummit@eithealth.eu with your name, surname, e-mail and phone number. Please ensure that name, surname and e-mail are the same you used when registering to the Summit.
For the EIT Health Summit the following cancellation policy applies:
1. Cancellation by a participant
If a participant is not able to attend, he/she has the right to cancel at any time. Depending on the cancellation time, the participant is entitled to the following refund:
a) A cancellation until January 31, 2024, 12 pm, entitles to a refund of 75% of the paid price.
b) A cancellation after January 31, 2024, 12 pm until March 10, 2024, 12 pm, entitles to a refund of 50% of the paid price.
c) For a cancellation after March 10, 2024, 12 pm, no refund will be paid.
The participant has the opportunity to prove that EIT Health had lower expenses than the amount that was not refunded or provide evidence that – for any other reason – the refunded amount needs to be increased.
2. Cancellation by EIT Health due to the Coronavirus
EIT Health has the right to cancel the EIT Health Summit due to reasons caused by the Coronavirus at any time. Reasons caused by the Coronavirus are:
a) Legal or official orders that prohibit the execution of the EIT Health Summit
b) Legal or official restrictions that aggravate or make it impossible to execute the EIT Health Summit as planned by EIT Health. An aggravation exists in particular if EIT Health, in order to comply with the restrictions, is forced to incur additional financial expenses or due to the restrictions is not able to get key speakers or staff to the EIT Health Summit.
If the EIT Health Summit has to be cancelled due to a reason caused by the Coronavirus, EIT Health plans to convert the EIT Health Summit into an online EIT Health Summit. Therefore, every ticket that enabled the purchaser (i.e. participant) to attend the EIT Health Summit in person will be converted into an online ticket for the online EIT Health Summit. Any differences in cost between the ticket for the EIT Health Summit and the ticket for the online EIT Health Summit will be refunded to each participant concerned.
If the EIT Health Summit has to be cancelled due to a reason caused by the Coronavirus and there will be also no corresponding online EIT Health Summit, each participant concerned is entitled to a refund of 100% of the paid price.
If the EIT Health Summit has to be cancelled due to a reason caused by the Coronavirus and is converted to a virtual event, each participant has the right to request a refund for 100% of the value of the ticket up to two weeks after the cancellation date.
3. The participant has the opportunity to prove that EIT Health had lower expenses than the amount that was not refunded or provide evidence that – for any other reason – the refunded amount needs to be increased. Cancellation by EIT Health due to reasons other than the Coronavirus
In the case of orders or restrictions corresponding to paragraph 2 lit. a) or b) for reasons other than the Coronavirus, the regulations in paragraph 2 shall apply accordingly.
However, in derogation of paragraph 2, each participant concerned keeps his/her registration, which is automatically valid for the next EIT Health Summit. Should a participant be prevented from attending this next EIT Health Summit for scheduling or any other reasons, the participant has the right to cancel at any time. In this case, the participant is entitled to a full refund of the paid price.
4. Refund process
In case of a cancellation, the participant, who is entitled to a refund, can expect the refund within twenty (20) business days from the date EIT Health receives the cancellation notice. All refunds will be refunded to the original payment type.
5. Choice of law clause
The contract existing between EIT Health and the participant shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, subject to mandatory international private law provisions, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If the participant is a consumer and has his habitual residence outside Germany, he or she shall retain protection under the relevant provisions of the country of residence, which may not be deviated from by agreement.
