Gerardo has reported extensively on the EU health framework, from healthcare innovation to regulatory aspects, and agriculture, with a focus on food security, the EU’s farming subsidies programme, and agri-trade. An active social media user, Gerardo has been recognised three times as a leading ‘EU influencer’ for agriculture in the Brussels bubble. Before joining Euronews in December 2023, he worked for various media outlets in Brussels, including Euractiv and Sky News Italy. He also worked for the European Parliament press office, where he dealt with industry, energy, and fisheries topics. Gerardo holds a B.A. in Political Science and an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Rome La Sapienza. He is fluent in Italian, English, French, and Spanish.
