Antoine Tesniere

Antoine Tesnière is a French professor of anesthesia and intensive care. After studying at the Paris Descartes medical faculty and the doctoral school of oncology at Paris Sud University, he became a doctor of medicine and immunology. He notably chaired the teaching council of the Paris Descartes medical faculty and was vice-president of the University of Paris, delegate for educational transformation. 

Driven by a passion for entrepreneurship, Professor Tesniere co-founded and directed the first French university department dedicated to health simulation, iLumens.  

In 2016, Antoine Tesnière joined the Ministry of Higher Education and Research as a health advisor and to lead the training component of the health system transformation strategy.  

During the health crisis, Antoine Tesnière coordinated the fight against Covid-19 within the office of the Minister of Solidarity and Health. At the same time, he joined the interministerial crisis center, placed under the Prime Minister, in order to manage all parameters of the epidemic as deputy director.  

At the beginning of April 2021, the government appointed Antoine Tesnière general director of PariSanté.
