Sinead O'Connor

Sinead O'Connor works with the School of Medicine on developing postgraduate education for emerging technologies in healthcare. Sinead is designing learning that blends an understanding of the world of digital, data analytics, artificial intelligence, internet of medical things, with entrepreneurial skills to evolve next generation innovations in med-tech, digital therapeutics and digital health. 

She represents Ireland–UK on the Steering Group for the European Health Data Space regulation on behalf of EIT Health and also supports the start-up ecosystem to leverage emerging technologies and data to design business models centred on differential customer value that can compete internationally. 

Sinead previously worked as a Director of Technology in Data Analytics at Novartis and has worked across the Irish health system and in the NHS on Clinical Strategy, Integrated Care Pathways for Emergency and Unscheduled Care, Patient Safety and Quality Improvement, Data Standardisation, Patient Level Costing and Clinical Coding, strategy development for clinical units and Lean.
