Maria Hassel is a senior advisor at the Swedish eHealth Agency and is responsible for the Agency's international relations and collaborations. 

She has a background in international relations and IT development with a focus on digitalisation in pharma and healthcare. 

She also has extensive experience in coordinating intergovernmental initiatives and activities as well as government assignments in the international area. 

Originally a pharmacist, Maria has worked with health IT in various roles throughout her career and has a specific interest in the area of interoperability at all levels, organisational, technical and international.
