Jean-Marc is the CEO of EIT Health Europe and Co-Managing Director of EIT HealthServices and Investment GmbH.

After a Medical Sciences Degree at Lille University School of Medicine and a Graduate Degree in International Economics and marketing in a business school in Paris (ISG), Jean Marc Bourez has experienced different positions in pharmaceutical industry since 1992, Commercial Operations in Cardiovascular, Field Medic Training manager in Neurosciences, Product Manager in Osteoporosis, Regional Managing Director in Cardio-Metabolism, Customer Relationship Management Director, former head of eHealth & Open Innovation department at Sanofi.

He has been appointed as Managing Director of EIT Health France in 2016, a Knowledge Innovation Community supported by EIT a body of the European Union. In this position, Jean-marc has developed the Venture Centre of Excellence, a strategic partnership with the European Investment Fund a pan-European Platform of co-investment in Life sciences supported by the European Commission as an anchor investor.
